In a bizarre crossover event that breaks traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of banned rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret cult.
The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Bonus Material
Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Latest Free Story Update
This release also adds the game's newest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
